hunting- prob.- cant find enough food, takes time to track the animals, no certainty, and cant sore the food

gathering- by women, more relied upon, mostly gathered SAGO- 70 ibs, and cant be stored, little protein, takes long time to prepair

Middle east - best livestock/ plants (fertile crescent between Tigris and the Euphrates rivers)  

people had time to develop houses, plaster to keep out water, window- air condition, standing for 9000 yrs.
